Customized Workforce Solutions As a division of the San Jose Evergreen Community College District [SJECC], the Workforce Institute [WI] has been providing customized education, professional development, and skills upgrade training for business in Silicon Valley since 1988. The Workforce Institute offers:

• Corporate training- Training and education programs for local business and industry.
• Professional Development-Leading edge skills upgrade for individuals.
• Core and intensive Workforce Investment Act services including case management, job development, and employability skills workshops.

The Workforce Institute [WI] functions as a workforce intermediary for the greater San Jose and South Bay area and has delivered customized workforce solutions in alliance with Evergreen Valley College and San Jose City College since 1988. WI has extensive experience in:

• the management and operation of a variety of contracted training programs and educational services for specifically targeted business professionals
• professional development classes, which are held on-site at the new Tech Center at the San Jose City College location
• supportive services to individuals funded through a variety of agencies, industries, & businesses to the complexly diverse population of Santa Clara County residents

Last year WI provided workforce development workshops to 10,000 participants through Customized Workforce Solutions Core Areas in Leadership Development, Business Communications, Computer and Technical Skills, Performance Consulting, and Medical Scenario Simulation Training. The Workforce Institute is located in the heart of Silicon Valley and has been providing general and vocational education programs, academic assessment, and career counseling services since 1921.
