Building Inspector/
Code Enforcement Officer

Salary Range: $32.60 - $41.60/ph
Part-Time, 25 hours per week, 6-month assignment with prorated benefits.
Two (2) positions available.

Typical duties include: Inspect routine and complex building systems at various stages of construction, alteration and repair: participate in the review of building plans and specifications. Investigate conditions and initiate procedures to abate violations of zoning, housing, dangerous buildings and property maintenance codes and ordinances regulating abandoned vehicles, trash, weeds, public nuisances and health, safety and welfare of the community.

Education/Training: Equivalent to completion of the 12th grade level.

Experience: Three (3) years of experience in the building construction field supplemented by some experience in building inspector work. Building experience can be substituted with 2 years planning work.
License or Certificate. ICBO Certification, PC 832 Desirable,
possession and maintenance of a valid California Driver's License.
